If you are using the VoltDB Community Edition, you can update the application catalog manually using the voltadmin save and restore commands. You need to shutdown the database, distribute new versions of the catalog and deployment file, and restart the cluster manually. See the chapter on "Updating Your VoltDB Application" in the Using VoltDB manual for details.
