Bruce Reading
President & CEO, VoltDB
As president and CEO of VoltDB, Bruce Reading brings more than 27 years of experience building shareholder value in a variety of operating roles including sales, marketing, asset management and operations.
Before joining VoltDB, Bruce was Senior Vice President and General Manager for Compuware Corporation (NASDAQ:CPWR), prior to which he spent six years as President, Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President at Gomez, Inc., which was ultimately acquired by Compuware. Previously, he served in senior management capacities at Access International, Cayman Systems and Dictaphone Corporation.
Bruce is passionate about his involvement as a Board of Directors member for Boston-based Containers 2 Clinics, a non-profit organization focused on delivering sustainable primary health care to women and children all over the globe.
John Mandile
Partner, Sigma Partners
John joined Sigma Partners in 1996. With more than 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur, a business unit manager, and an investor, John uses motivation, enthusiasm, and his own technology and operational expertise to support Sigma's portfolio companies. Throughout his career, he has held executive management positions, created new business units and departments, and sponsored new projects at some of the industry's most successful technology companies.
Jo Tango

Jo Tango founded Kepha Partners. Jo is passionate about start-ups and loves working with entrepreneurs who dare to strive. He has been a founding or first institutional investor in AutoVirt, Azuki Systems, Bit9, ExaGrid, StreamBase Systems, Vertica Systems, Virtual Iron (acquired by Oracle) and VoltDB, almost always getting involved at the company inception phase. Other investments include Ask Jeeves (Nasdaq: ASKJ), Digital Market (acquired by Agile Software), and NextCard (Nasdaq: NXCD).
Dr. Michael Stonebraker
Co-Founder & CTO, VoltDB
Dr. Michael Stonebraker has been a pioneer of database research and technology for more than a quarter of a century. While serving as a professor at the University of California at Berkely and at MIT, he was the main architect of many data management software products including the Ingres relational DBMS, the object-relational DBMS PostgreSQL, the stream processing engine, Streambase, the Vertica analytic DBMS, and the in-memory OLTP relational DBMS VoltDB. He is presently Adjunct Professor of Computer Science at MIT.
Larry Walton
Managing Director of Infastructure, GETCO
Larry joined GETCO in 2005 and serves as Managing Director of Infrastructure for the firm. In this role he is responsible for the firms trading and technology infrastructure and development.
GETCO is a global market maker in the Fixed Income, FX, Equities and Commodities asset classes. The firm’s primary business involves both buying and selling securities to provide two-sided markets on exchanges around the world. As a global market maker, GETCO plays a critical role in helping to lower the cost of capital for businesses and in reducing trading costs for investors.
Larry began his career in 1995 at Accenture in Chicago. During his tenure, Larry progressed from his initial role as a technical analyst, to a consultant, and subsequently a manager. In 2000, he joined Yes Trader, Inc. as director of Quality Assurance where he managed several teams responsible for release testing, version management/automated installation, operational guidelines and technical documentation. In 2001 he became director of technology for York Business Associates, LLC.
He received his B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering in 1995 from the University of Illinois in Champaign and completed his MBA in Strategic Management from Northwestern University (Kellogg) in 2007.
