Alan Hawley brings more than 12 years of U.S and European experience to his role as vice president of global business development and international sales. Alan is responsible for driving VoltDB’s global expansion into new geographic markets and industries, with a focus on growing partner and channel relations.
Before joining VoltDB, Alan served as vice president of global APM sales for SmartBear Software, a leader in software quality tools. Prior to Smartbear Alan was senior director of partnerships for Everbridge Inc., where he established and grew the partner program while developing a successful sales presence in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Alan previously served as Director of UK Sales for Compuware Corporation (NASDAQ:CPWR), prior to which he spent five years establishing and managing sales teams across Northern Europe at Gomez, Inc., which was acquired by Compuware.
Alan holds a BA in Sports Science from Durham University (England, UK) and is a huge fan of playing and watching most team sports. Much of his experience playing sports he applies to developing sales organizations: leadership, tolerance, competition, and most importantly, success as a team.
