Scott Powers brings more than 20 years of management experience with both private and public companies to the role of VoltDB CFO. Scott’s philosophy,, developed from his experience managing high growth technology organizations and his hands-on orientation, is to operate as a business partner with the entire team. He is responsible for the both the finance and administrative functions at VoltDB.
Scott came to VoltDB from Jumptap, a leading mobile advertising company he helped guide through its acquisition by Millennial Media (NASDAQ: MM). Prior to Jumptap, Scott held financial leadership positions with Brightcove (NASDAQ: BCOV) and Q1 Labs, a network security software company where he played a key role in the acquisition by IBM (NYSE: IBM). Prior to Q1 Labs, he spent more than ten years in finance with iBasis, the first commercial voice-over-IP telecommunication carrier, which grew from $0 to over $1b in revenue during his tenure. Scott played a key role in iBasis’ IPO and multiple acquisitions, and ultimately helped guide the company through an acquisition by KPN (AMS: KPN).
Scott is a family man and avid outdoorsman who enjoys fishing, golf and camping.
